Speaking & Workshops
Tragedies can become comedies.
All it takes is a sense of humor, some compassion,
and a few better choices.
“When we know better, we do better.”
~ Maya Angelou ~
In addition to refining and upleveling my professional skills over more than two decades, I have also honed my sense of humor about the reality of being an imperfect human, responsible for the well-being and best interest of smaller humans, while facing the extraordinary stress of being a human, living with other imperfect humans.
When I speak to audiences of professionals and divorcing parents, and especially audiences of professionals who are in the midst of divorce, we laugh together… a lot.
And we learn...
Through story, inquiry, and integrative experiences, I empower audiences of divorcing parents to clarify and take their best next step for their children and how to avoid the unnecessary tragedies that often befall our children through divorce.
For audiences of professionals, I use the same approach to shed light on some of the common thinking, behavior, and conduct that can prevent tragic and expensive outcomes; and I inspire them to build the scaffolding that will support the new family structure with a steady and secure foundation on which all family members can endeavor to thrive.

"There has to be more than this."
Lori Bonnevier wanted to write a book since she was a kid, but didn't get started until she was a wife, a mom to two children, and a busy professional who didn't have time for it. Yet somehow, she knew, "There has to be more than this." She had no idea that the fictional choose-your-own-outcome story she was writing to help divorcing parents make child-focused choices was going to become the mirror, the map, and the magical vehicle she needed to create that "more" she was seeking in her life.
